Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Kristine M. Shumack is the Chief Financial Officer for United Service Organizations, Inc. As CFO, Shumack provides strategic leadership for the organization’s global finance functions as well as leads its external and internal financial reporting, accounting operations, procurement, and budget and financial planning and analysis functions.

Prior to becoming USO’s CFO, Shumack was Vice President, Controller, where she was responsible for the organization’s financial reporting, accounting and internal controls function, including support of the mergers of other non-profit entities. Shumack joined the USO in July 2006 as Director of Finance. Prior to USO, Shumack spent over seven years providing audit and assurance services to public and private companies in the not-for profit, healthcare, hospitality and government contracting industries. She started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Chicago, Illinois where she then moved to PepsiCo in their corporate internal audit function.

Shumack earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a major in Accountancy from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
